What do we do for Langland?

Mostly, we work with Langland on international patient recruitment for clinical trials. One recent trial covered 36 countries and required translation and localisation into 67 languages, including Arabic, Hebrew, nine Indian languages and the Filipino languages Tagalog and Cebuano. We translated, localised and reviewed patient and investigator materials in all 67 languages and artworked the materials for the Asian and Middle Eastern markets according to local customs and print standards.
Because this material is aimed at healthcare professionals and patients, it is highly regulated and subject to intense review. All materials must follow local and international medical regulations and be scientifically accurate. Tone is especially important because the materials must not appear to be too persuasive.
Our expert healthcare project manager therefore recruits language professionals with medical backgrounds the world over. She also oversees the in-country reviews, approval from the ethics committees and co-ordinates the localised design of materials. She is the single point of contact for Langland on every project and ensures all this happens on time and to budget, keeping Langland up-to-date with project progress every step of the way.
